I need to do a CV?
Bob,
Try the following, http://www.lifeoutlined.co.uk/page.php?page=wrk_1 there is a CV creator in there somewhere but in honesty there no substitute for sitting down and putting some thought into it. A little bit of effort to create a tailored CV/covering letter for the specific vacancy will hopefully pay back with interest in the form of a better employer/salary/working conditions/money for a scoob.
I'm currently applying for a new job and probably spent every night one week doing my CV/Covering letter/application, and making sure they supported and complemented each other.
For my CV I cover the following areas:
-Personal details (name address etc)
-Education (most recent first)
-Previous employment (most recent first)
-Qualificationa and Awards
-Relevant IT skills
-Relevant Personal skills (communication skills,project/time management
-general interests
This is just my persoanal view but maybe someone with recruiting experience could give some more ideas and help you devise a CV layout suitable for the vacancy your appling for.

Thanks guys
Just had a look at the online CV writer, it's not working at the mo
spotted this though
Only include a photo if it will genuinely enhance your chance of getting an interview. Make sure it is a great photo!
I guess I won't be including a photo then

I did the physchometric test thingmy too
Your responses suggest that you are the type of person who is naturally optimistic, gregarious and enjoys people and social occasions.
Some jobs you might find most rewarding are:
Salesperson
Trainer
Politician
Ambassador
Pop Star
Spokesperson
Public Relations
Advertising
Marketing
Publican
Human Resources Officer
watch out Robbie Williams

I'm gonna go have a mess in word, see what I can come up with, thanks again!

Hi
I might have a job oppurtinity coming up so I need to do a CV, I've never had to do one before!
I wondered if there was maybe something online where you just enter your info and hey presto? Failing that just an idea of the layout would be great!
Thanks in advance!

concentrate on bit relevant to the job you are applying for.
ignore stuff about exams from years ago or old jobs.
employer wants to know y u can do his job and is therefore interested in your recent employment and skills.
keep size to no more than 2 A4 sides. else get bored of reading it.
i know i do !

If you have Word 97 or newer ( not sure about pre 97)
It has a CV Wizard which is excellent
Phil
ps you then have it in a format nearly everybody can read unlike some of these of the shelf programs
