Default Why? Oh why, oh why?!

is that to get anything unwrapped these days is so much aggro.

Your average DVD or CD is wrapped in material that is not just child proof but anything proof.

A plasma cutter, four razor blades and a bent back thumbnail is what is takes on average to get into the bloddy package

Oh, well, at least that's off my chest now

You should simply download the stuff for free and avoid this sort of packaging problem.

I give it to a kid and tell them there's some money inside. They have it open in a second.

Shrink wrapped plastic is the mother of all packaging. Picture the scene, 'Dad open this for me' lad asks. Cue ten minutes of wrangling with a package containing a kiddies police set. Badge, handcuffs and toy gun. Final exertion opens said packaging and at the same time obliterates the handcuffs and gun (the badge survives). End result a none too pleased four year old and a grown man who needs a new right hand!
