Probably is an import. Even though it doesn't say it - you can't rely on the V5 being entirely accurate. HPi will only go as far back as the UK registration date (2005)

....It doesn't even say the model of van it is (i.e Transit 280 )

The only other explaination apart from MOD is it was used as transport soley on private grounds such as large factories and thus not needing registration.

I tried decoding teh VIN but it all I could came back with it is October 1998 and it was built in Southhampton UK.

Although I must have got something wrong as it also said the body type is a 3door hatchback

Maybe it spent the first years of its life offroad, e.g. airport or a big estate somewhere?

How many miles it done? I bet more than 1 years worth.

Check NMR for mileage.

HPI data not always correct remember.

Contact that Mick Kemp if you really need to know.

The car was registered in 1998, not in this country though, ie, UK mainland.

So it did have plates on of some kind.

If it was used privately on grounds, it would have never been registered.

Could it have been Isle Of Man or somewhere like that.

apples24 might be dropping a huge hint He's based in Southampton - which is where the van was built. It might have been used on a large factory site. I wonder what large factories there might be in Southampton......
