Kiddies go-kart wheels?
Hi,
I'm wanting to build a go-kart for my lad but am having trouble finding wheels. When I were a lad we used old pram wheels but that sort no longer seem to exist. The rest of the design is straightforward but dimesions etc rely on getting a set of wheels.
Anyone recommend anything?
Oh, it's going to be one of those old s-tyle karts with the front wheels steered via feet or a rope.

dave, do you want to make your son the rolls royce go karts?
If so, I had a great idea to use my gamers racerig (which I am trying to sell)... http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...-/IMG_0002.jpg all you would need to do would be weld some rubber wheels to the rear, make steering front wheels and your done. not sure how you'd go about that.

Call me a kill-joy, but those things are death traps. My pregnant wife got run over by one that wouldn't steer and had no brakes.
She was okay, but there was a hell of a fuss at the Village Council and they're now banned here. Obviously, could have had severe repercussions all round
Main problem is you need a hill to make them go, often out of your sight. Much better to shell out and buy one with pedal-power that can be used safely and where you can keep an eye out.
Sorry
Richard.
