Tell me about it. I've been running XP professional for nearly a week and it's been cr@p compared to Windows 2000.
My PC is a PIII 600, 384MB, 20GB HDD and a 3D Prophet video card and although not the fastest on the planet, it's certainly not the slowest either.
I think I'll re-install 2000 over the weekend as I don't see much benefit in XP at the moment.

I've been running XP for a couple of months and side by side with a win2k system. Both identical machines with identical applications.
My gut feeling is that the XP system is actually quicker but only marginally so.
Half of it is down to configuration anyway.
Cheers

I've just recently installed Win2000 instead of XP and I can say I'm happy I've done so. WinME was so damn unreliable and unstable, 2000 is a dream in comparison.
Very happy so far.

I think the tests were done when the system has lots of apps running. SO if you just run one thing at a time, you would'nt notice. Me? I have about 10 windows open at once.
