Could HAVE got....not could OF got.
I know it's picky, but it really annoys me.
Anyway, the car looks rubbish to me, doesn't even look much like an RS does it? Don't you just love ebay!

How do you mean, "it doesn't look much like an RS does it?"
It's a faithful copy of one of the most exciting cars ever, the rally bread RS200. IIRC, one of the originals STILL holds the record for 0-60 for a production car.
I'd drive that ANY day I've always wanted to build one, but it's getting less likely, parts are harder and harder to get, kit manufacturers aren't very co-operative etc. No money, either
Imagine driving about with a Cosworth BDA unit just over your shoulder, with exhaust and mental wastegate noises, no need for a radio.
And if you parked next to even a brand new Scoob, guess which one gets the attention?

Maybe I just haven't seen one for a while! It just looks a bit crap. Like some weird MR2 that's trying to look like a bad Porsche.
Give me my Impreza any day, the only reason I'd look at that would be to try and work out what it was!

What are you on....The Kara 430 is very respected and is virtually a 100% copy with most original parts fitting without mods. I went for a test drive about 10 years ago when the company first started and nearly bought one, the built up car with a decent engine spec was £25k then.

Good for you Mog, I just think it looks dated and nothing special. If I saw that on the road I'd assume some boy racer had kitted an MR2.
Looks a bit like a demented Integra actually.

It looks pretty much IDENTICAL to a real RS200! Are you thinking of the RS500 which was a slightly beefed up version of the 3 door Sierra Cosworth?
I think that looks stunning, absolutely awesome looking machine

RS200, like the classic scoob (er, and any other scoob) was never pretty to start with. Nice to petrolheads who know what's under the bonnet, but fit it with a 1.4D and it would have been ridiculed for the next 50 years.

They WERE capable of 0-60 in under 6 seconds in road going trim and over 140mph, though, which, for the '80s was PRETTY good!
I'd have given ten years off my life for one!

He obviously knows nothing about cars and has been brainwashed by the Jap Crap generation which values a car by how much crap is stuck to it.
All in my humble opinion.....

Mog IIRC the Kara version was about 8cm longer? and that was it, I will have to find the wright up I have for it somewhere in one of my old CCC mags, ah the days of the group b cars , I still remember going round the top of the world at millbrook in one, then to have a go in a 6R4, imagine getting a dream choice of which one would you like to take home which one would you chose

Actually saw what I think was an RS200 on the road a while back, (18 month or so ago), truly stunning car, I'd sell the missus and her whole family for one on ebay if they'd let me

Looks like there are one or two youngsters on here that wouldn't know a GroupB car if they tripped over one.
Suppose a T16 is just a 205 with one of those horrible Dimma kits on it, or a 6R4 is a Metro with shoe boxes stuck over the wheel arches.
Looks stunning. Wonder what the reserve is / was? Though given the reputation that the 4WD original had for handling, you'd need big kahunas to give a RWD one the full beans

Back in 1986 I worked at a Ford RS Dealer there was talk of them buying in a new RS200 but the MD decided that £65,000 was a lot of money to have tied up in one car in the showroom not knowing how long it would take to sell so sadly they never ordered one!!!!!!!
