Default Conference costs

Anyone know how much to hold a conference for around 90 people. Just been to one in Hilton Metropole at NEC which included all meals , coffee etc, conference facilities etc and about 40 rooms prior to the event. Any idea at what this would cost.

I've been booking conferences and the like for 10 years now and I have two words of advice SHOP AROUND!!! I've got our local Hilton down to £35 per 8 hour delegate day - but I have to say, they're really not the greatest venue. I've got some speakers who refuse to stay over there (even though we have good room rates too).

Try checking out Initial Style conference centres - never had a problem with them. If it has to be near the Midlands how about Gaydon - that's a great place to go - plus there's something good to look at and do during the breaks. Not sure if they can do 90 - depends on what seating arrangement you want.

Good luck!

also, try football grounds, many of them have conference facilites (and great views/car parking) Their postion in the league doesnt always reflect their quality - Villa and West Brom have excellent conference facilites
