Smile recommend me some albums

any music buffs out there recommend me some albums please? getting some music off 'tinternet and i've run out of bands that i can think of.

recently got stuff like kanye west, The Bands 2006, coldplay, chilli peppers stadium acardium, pink, snow patrol, K T Tunstall to name a few.

Why don't you step away from the keyboard and go to a record shop. Bonus number one, you might see an album you fancy. Bonus number two, you may even buy it.

Never heard of them. I can give you links where you can "sample" ice cubes or busta rhymes new album, although that might be a bit too hardcore from kanye. But Ice cube talks about similiar stuff like kanye these days. Stop the violence increase the peace

Because "free" usually equates to illegally downloaded?

Anyway, why not pop over to Pandora or Last.fm and pop in the names of songs/artists you like and it'll find similar artists.

I have the odd downloaded "sample" album kicking about, they're ok for playing on an iPod or on a $hit stereo system but pointless for playing through a decent hi-fi.

Anything I seriously want to listen to on the hi-fi, i always buy on CD so i get a nice clean source. With an expensive hi-fi, if you put $hit in you get $hit out.

Stars - 'Set Yourself on Fire' is fantastic and sort of similar to Snow Patrol, ish. New Yeah Yeah Yeahs record is good except for the awful first single I'll second the Kooks' album, and if you like that then maybe The Rakes.

The new Zutons ones is ok Pauly, not a patch on seeing 'em live tho - brilliant live band.

http://www.last.fm/group/Impreza%2BOwners is the ImprezaSport last.fm group; it's a bit over run with members though so don't all join at once I'm Jamp.

Go for some Nana Mouskouri or some Englebert Humperdink and some Sex Pistols topped off with a bit of Barbara Streisand.

I'll second that, and Primal Scream, that is one good album. I would also recommend the Yeah Yeahs Yeahs and if you like them The Grates (who supported the Zutons)

The Young Knives are quite good and dare I say it Boy Kill Boy - sort of like a not quite as good British version of The Killers
