Anyone got software to capture video of windows desktop ?

Looking for a piece of software that can capture a video of my windows desktop eg. opening an application, point the mouse at a few menus.
I know Microsoft used to do a one a couple of years ago call MS Camcorder, but its obsolete now and doesn't work with Win2k.

is Lotus SmartCam downloadable or does it come with anything ?

Apparently the best package is camtasia.
I'm just evaluating it now and it does the lot. Even uses a new codec for the job.
