Default Decking prices

I'm in the process of sorting my garden and the wife wants some decking.

What is a good price, and what should I be looking to pay for a 4.8m length of 125mm pine deckboards.

I'm looking to deck a 40m2 area btw.

Anyone recommend a decent and reasonably priced supplier in/around Glasgow?

Ta

We got ours last year from the local builders merchant. Travis Perkins also sell and deliver nationwide. Price didn't vary that much between them, so it came down to who could deliver quickest.

when you ring up Travis or anywhere like that, lie and say you work for a large national contractor.
you'll be amazed what cash discounts are to be had with free delivery thrown in

Yes, certainly sir, may I take your' account number please..........?

caller -" eeeerrrr hold on a minute please......." hangs up......DOH.

TP price is £1.49 per linear metre, sold in 3m;3.6m;4.2 and 4.8 m.

multiply your area in m2 by 6.66 = linear metres needed, ours is 6"wide.

Si - TP manager.

Good on ya mate, my share option matures in December then I too may be an ex-TP man, we're slowly becoming overpaid admin clerks..........

Si.

ps:GP% is pretty good due to it being a national price and 9224 lowering their silly prices.

I actually do work for a national contractor and have used TP for many home jobs/privates.
Never once been asked for account number, only been asked what site I was on once.
last job I did was acoustic backed plasterboard, superb at soundproofing the cinema room and delievered next day for freebies

I did my girlfriends (now wife) decking as the back garden dropped thus losing about 8 foot of useable space.

It cost me 1150 quid from the local timber merchants which is tons better than going to B+Q etc due to the quality of the decking boards.
