Memory foam mattresses rock We bought one last year and it's bloody awesome.
We then had to buy a memory foam mattress topper to take with us every time we go away as we can't cope without it

Sounds about right, we have sold a few matresses and then had the people come back for a topper too! Just out of interest where did you buy it from?

. I haven't even started yet James! How about the vulcanised latex and rebound polyester. Or the rubberised cattle tail used in conjunction with horse hair pads and topped with hundred percent lambs wool for the customer who wants just natural fillings. Are you still awake..

where are Tempur mattress toppers cheap - all the ones we have seen are the same price as a top end mattress! The cheapest we have seen a kingsize genuine Tempur topper was £620

Very interesting thread.
Let me see, 12 months' road extortion or a new mattress. New mattress and I'll get the road tax at the end of the month. Either way, both will allow me a sound sleep.
I haven't tried one personally but I hear that water beds are also very good for certain orthopaedic problems And other things.
Off for a surf now to see where I can obtain one locally. Mattress, that is.

yeah i run a furniture buisness and we sell loads of memory foam mats from 3375 -£425 and they are popular although a good pocket sprung mat is still one of the best mats on market
water beds arent as popular now after les battersby devaled the product on Coronation street !!

We got one of these from dreams, best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Pretty sure the cost was around £500, but its worth it. The only problem is I hate having to get up for work even more now...

The price I am quoting is for the mattress topper from Tempur
I'll still go halves though

Einstein and Rannoch, ours came from Skipton Bed Centre and cost about £500 after a good discount as Bob knows the owner
Rannoch, you're welcome to try it any time but bring your earplugs as Bob snores a lot

Did you get a Tempur Mattress or was it one of the other memory foam mattresses.
My two questions that I am trying to resolve are a) are memory foam mattresses the way forward and b) if they are do I need to get a Tempur one as they are very expensive - £1200 is the cheapest 'deluxe king size' and the list price is £1725!!! The standard king size is about £200 cheaper.
