Where can I buy wheel alignment gear for my workshop?
Need 4 wheel tracking done on my 300ZX & will also need to get the alignment done on my GT40 kit when it arrives in Aug so i'm thinking of just buying the gear so save money in the long run.
Found a few on ebay but they're the full-size garage type, are there any available for use at home? Only ones I can find are the 2 wheel type?

Your really going to struggle to find anything to do 4 wheel for DIY money, or in fact just for reasonable money.
Due to the accuracy required for 4 wheel alignment the cheapest gauges will use a light beam and the more expensive laser which will then link to a PC with the appropriate programme running.
I would imagine you will be looking at £1,000 + for a very basic 4 wheel alignment set up that is going to be accurate. Probably not worth the hassle to be honest unless of course you want to check your alignment every week?
Decent brands include Balco, Hofmann balancing, tecalemit, Sun, etc etc to name but a few but you will pay good money for them.

Local garage has just paid the other side of £20k for a decent setup, and are charging £75 a pop to align. So, you'd have to do a fair few jobs to make it worthwhile.

LOL seen the Trakrite thing before, just fancied something a bit more complex.
Found a few 4-wheel laser jobs on ebay around the £500 mark & found this rather tidy bit of kit from the states http://www.advancedracing.com/laser_toe_gauge.php just a pity it isnt 4 wheel.
Don't really mind spending £400-£500 - it's £100 for 4-wheel alignment at my local garage & every car I buy seems to need the wheels aligning, would soon pay for itself.

Managed to get myself a refurbed Corghi laser wheel alignment setup for £500 delivered in the end so pretty happy. Have 3 cars at home that could do with being done & the kit car on the way so it's pretty much paid for itself already.
