ebay wierdness!
As a regular user of ebay I opened up my ebay home page and pressed the My Ebay button.
As a Mozilla Firefox user my download manager popped up and asked to confirm I wanted to download myebay.dll
I declined and closed down my browser and started again and pressed the My Ebay button and it took me straight to My Ebay page - no download request involved.
What the hell is that about? Is it ebay randomly emitting spyware/adware or has my browser been scammed in some way (don't know techy terms but I am sure you get my drift).
Any comments welcome apart from the usual helpful abuse

Looks like Firefox is misinterpreting the URL:
http://my.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay
And isn't passing the parameter back in.

I use an IE clone "Maxthon" and I really don't have issues with being hacked, I'm behind a firewall for a start and viruses aren't a problem as I have an upto date antivirus app (it would be foolish not to) and some anti-spyware software to boot.
To those inundated with viruses and spyware - stay away from the **** sites!!

Interesting comments - my internet experience has been impeccable in terms of virus intrusion, pop-ups, spy ware and ad ware. Which is why this was all the more surprising as it has never happened before.
I have far fewer internet issues with Firefox than with IE - so I remain happy with it
Of course if the Luddites want to stay with the steam powered antique then feel free to do so
