If you want to make a small fortune, then start with a large one. Be prepared for bureaucracy like you'd never believe and the unbelievable slowness of everything. Unless you speak Spanish, then you are going to end up with a **** job unless you have some transferable skill or trade.
On the plus side, there are some brilliant roads. Relatively cheap housing and better defined seasons. I only live there at weekends, so put what I've said into context.

The impression I've had from holidays is that people there as suggested above are easier going and more relaxed (except when in a car) than those in Britain. Bit of a change of pace for your typical British person!
What's made you want to go for it? What's your job/career situation?

Thanks FlatCap, Richard many things... way this country is going, job, situation.. the whole ballgame really.
Was thinking of a transition 6 months here, 6 there etc, find an opening or 2.
Have heard about bureaucracy, slowness, but easier going , better climate.
I know will be a change of pace.. and I love it.
Have even driven a fair bit over there , the most common thing I do is reach over my right shoulder for the seatbelt

He was working in IT in London before moving, and doing the daily commute along with myself.... now he does Part Time IT support but is mainly doing Gardening and general "fix-it" man stuff. The monney isn't as good but he says that the quality of life is much much better and stress levels are a LOT lower
Also (and this is my opinion) in Menorca their idea of a traffic jam is 2 cars and a donkey and cart
Oh and him being there is great for me cos I can just jump on a plane for a long weekend family visit <cough spanish beers>
