World Jetsprinting Championships
I don't know if anyone else has seen these on Motors tv or elsewhere, I stumbled across it last night, Round 1 of the 2005 World Championships on a man made course in Oz at Gisbourne, It's the 1st time I've seen them and was blown away.
A few stats that I can remember from the commentary, 0-120 K/mh in 2 secs, tiny little 2 seater craft with V8 blocks, 1000 bhp, turbos, super chargers, these puppies can turn on a sixpence they way they chuck them around tight little courses is insane, their reactions have to be spot on, the inboat camera shots last night were like some crazy PS2 game!
check out the "Jet Sprinting Waimak" clip from this link,

better still watch the next round of the 2005 championship on Motors tv on Mon 20.55 onwards or Tue 18.45 or Wed 12.50.
Well worth a watch if only for the sound of those lovely V8's

Jetboats - YESSS!
Been in a big passenger one up the river at Queenstown, maybe 8-12 people. Freaking mad.
When our office looked like it would move to the other side of Lisbon, involving a horrible rush-hour commute for me, I only half-jokingly looked into getting one of these as daily transport
