Is having an opinion allowed?
Just wondered, in today's day and age, if having an opinion is allowed? I wondered, cos, should anyone post anything on here, they get shot down in flames. Is anyone allowed an opinion at all?

Take note of the names of the pedantic gits that shoot you down. You'll notice they do it all the time. Makes you wonder if they provide anything productive in a conversation at all. 
Once you've taken note of the names of the people who usually do this, write them off as people who do not know any better, ignore them and carry on regardless

The problem isn't people shooting other people down in flames, that's a useful and instructive lesson for the victim, the problem is the victims actually get upset about it

Etiquette in posts goes a very long way. Something many users of Scoobynet never even concieve or understand the concept, yet alone use when posting.
Spouting off with a chip on your shoulder at how people p**s you off and calling so and so a t***, instead of keeping it amicable. Even in the face of abuse, it can make a huge difference to the replys to your posts.
Take a leaf out of Leslie's or BillBill's book....Have you ever seen them rise to the bait and drop beneath their level? I have never seen it myself. An admirable characteristic when faced with users constantly nit picking your posts for holes in your opinions, or by intentionally misinterpreting the context of the post.
Me? Well, when faced with abuse, I toy with them. If someone starts at me, I grab them by the horns with a huge grin on my face - I love it! Sad, I know, but it passes the time.
