Ken brininging in a body building nutritionist instead of a submissions specialist - which he admits isn't his strong suit could cause a few problems in the team though.

On again tonight - 23:00 - 00:30
Brit Lads:
Michael Bisping
Light Heavyweight
6'1, 205 lbs.
Age: 26
From: Liverpool, England
Team: Ortiz
If World War II had not occurred, Michael would probably be living as a Count in Poland, as his family ancestry traces back to royalty in his native land. Instead, the 26 year old is living the self-described “working class” life in England, but is aspiring to become an Ultimate Fighter. Born in Cyprus, Michael attended Blackburn College, majoring in Electrical Engineering, and has two children ages three and five. He began learning jiu-jitsu at eight years old and lists Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture as his favorite UFC fighters. When he’s not practicing mixed martial arts in Liverpool, he works as a DJ on the weekends. His nickname is “The Count.”
Status: Still in competition
----------------------------------------------
Ross Pointon
Middleweight
5'8, 185 lbs.
Age: 28
From: Stokeontrent, England
Team: Shamrock
Known as “The Gladiator,” the 28 year-old from Stokeontrent, England near Manchester, took up mixed martial arts seven years ago. The graduate of Trentham High School is a black belt in karate and currently owns The Gladiator Gym, where he teaches kick boxing and mixed martial arts. Ross made it on the “The Ultimate Fighter 3” after impressing UFC President Dana White and other UFC top brass at an open-casting call in London. He currently holds a 4-6 professional MMA record. The hard-kicking Brit is single and has a young daughter.

Really enjoyed the first episode, looks like it could be the best one yet.
Dana White has developed the rules of this one to make sure that the rivally between Ortiz and Shamrock is maximised, and their fight at the end will be quite something, although Shamrock will lose, again.
Only thing with Shamrock is that he's too old school, his style hasnt developed with the sport, and I can see that thinking holding his team back a bit.
Ortiz is a much more rounded fighter, and has developed his skills in the modern era, where you cant be good at just one thing.
Shamrocks decision with that nutritionist was just stupid, straight away he lost a lot of the teams condfidence in him, why would they need a bodybuilders diet? you'd need to focus on recovery, and stamina/energy, rather than muscle building.
Although high protein diets allow quicker muscle recovery, a body builders methods of obtaining this are completely different to a sports persons methods, id say there diets should be closer to that of an olympic sprinter rather than an olympic wieght lifter, he was trying to get them to start a bulking phase with steak, chicken etc, that'd just slow them down.
What about the two different approaches to training? where Ortiz gets fuly involved in the sparring, but Shamrock feels that he's there to guide.
I can see merits of both, be interesting to see which method gives the best results, really you need a combination of both, but part of the appeal of the show is the two completely different approaches to training and motivating.

Yep Ive been waiting for it for a while now and then forgot. Purely by fluke I saw it whilst channel hopping on friday. Missed 1st 20 mins but caught it all on Bravo +1.
Seems a lot better format this year but Shamrock looks well out of his depth in several areas. I cant believe he wants to fight Tito again after getting his faced severely rearranged last time around.
Glad they dropped the challenges but letting the winner hold on to the fight lineup decision doesnt looks a wise choice. Should have just flipped the coin each time to mix it up.
Was funny when the brits outdrank that canadian guy after he took the **** out of them.
Im looking forward to Arlovski Vs Sylvia rematch. Arlovski is just pure class and I really cant see Tim stopping him unless he lands one massive punch.
Simon.

Yup poor fight really. All that I'm going to smash right through him showed he had no idea about how to win, the other guy knew his game plan and was tough enough to exectute it.
Pigging out after weighing in says it all really - the other guy was eating sushi!

Bloody subtitles.....
What a patronising show.
I'm not watching it again. My reason - those bloody subtitles whenever one of the Brits speaks.
It's the bloody Americans I can't understand!
Maybe if they were subtitled, it might make more sense to me.....I suppose it is American produced, but I really wish that when it is broadcast over here that they adapt the programe for the target audience.
Apart from that, the show's actually quite good.
