Yep, watch Sky any day of the week and the compensation culture is easy to spot, I would just claim what I thought right and just for any pain or inconvenience rather than trying to retire on it, I had a guy come round who fell over the bump in the pavement caused by the huge tree in front of our house, came with all legal stuff going on about calling me as a witness as he fell and broke his wrist, I told him to perhaps look where the f*ck he was going, he was trying to proove negligence on the part of the Council, its a massive tree ffs, the roots slightly raise the pavement.
Sometimes in life you have problems WHICH ARE YOURE OWN FAULT, not somebody elses and if it is somebody elses dont milk it, take what is rightfully yours, thats what it is there for, milk it too much and next time you will get nowt !

A few years ago a fella threw himself through my windscreen - he ran into the road to retreive his dropped mobile phone!!!
He ran into the side of my car, the front wing, and through the windscreen!!
For 3 years we fought it out, ended up in court and he got £££££££££££££'s!!
The judge just looked at a car verses pedestrian, a member of the public verses Insurance Company ..............
I even had the coppas around my house for threatening a witness (the blokes mate!) - what me????? And his Lawyer was trying to rile me up in court .... trying to get me to threaten him too (he was such a ****!!!!!)

I generally hate the whole compensation culture lark and 3 days is a tad speedy to say the least but.... I dont see the issue wiv most of the stuff being claimed that ur not happy about....
vehicle damage - well u pranged the car!
loss of use - Im self employed & need my car so I'd claim
Lost earnings - ditto
medical treatment - whiplash yep entitled to go private (I was in physio the next day)
clothing - medics often cut clothing off with chest injuries, again Id claim
miscellaneous - eg taxi to physio, why should they be out of pocket?
Sorry, I know its sh!tty and expensive for taking your eye off the wheel for a split second (assuming thats what happened) but there is no way the other person should be out of pocket because of it

It doesn't take much to get whiplash, and seatbelts can cause chest brusing.
Look on the bright side if it ever happens to you you know you can claim ££££££.
If you want to get really nasty. No such thing as an accident. If the OP had a bit of bump they must not have been paying attention, driving to fast or driving dangerously so is geting away with it lightly.
