Any way to secure a Road Angel 2 on dash without the mounting kit ?
I want to be able to take the RA with me when I leave the car & leave no visible trace of it - ie no mounting kit. Its a pain to keep sticking the kit on & taking it off everytime I leave the car, so any ideas ?

Epoxy works well, not too good if you want to take it out again through.
As mentioned, velcro may work or those little sticky foam pads, that's what I use on my TomTom Bluetooth gps holder

When it come to final removal it may or may not leave a sticky residue. How easily that can be removed will depends on the material the dash is made from. Usually a little meths or Sticky Stuff Remover will shift it, just test on an inconspicuous area first!

You could just screw a hook into the roof and hang it off of a piece of string. Granted, everytime you went round a corner it would smack you or your passenger in the side of the head and when you braked, it would clatter onto the windscreen, but just think, get to your destination, stop, neutral, handbrake, switch off, rub side of head, reach up and unhook. Perfect

on my old classic....
bent the metal fixing kit that comes with it so that the magnet was facing up, the rest of the bracket was bent around with the 'bottom' part tucked into the back of the sunglasses/storage box thing on the top of the dash (where it hinges)
if that makes sense.
