i'm on a Vodafone 18 month contract, about 13 months or so in, is there anyway i can badger an upgrade/priceplan change out of them? website says i can if i've got 2 months or less to go on my contract

Yup - wait another 3 months and you're sorted! Otherwise give them a call and see what you can negotiate.

you can change tariffs but you won't get a new phone until your 18 months are up.

bollox! what if i wanted to go 3G & mobile TV? my existing phone isn't upto it what if i was to 'break' my phone and asked to upgrade while i geting it replaced?

Speak to them and say if they wont allow it you want to put your contract on the lowest possible tarrif and will let a run down with a view to a move once it is done.

They should let you do it without that threat though. what they will say though is that your new contract will run from the end of the current one. they may also try and get you to pay a bit extra for the phone.
