Premium rate Numbers

Beenhaving a look at this as a bit of extra income, anyone have any experience of them? IMO the site seems to good to be true.

1) If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is
2) How many people do you know that spend £££'s on phoning premium rate phone lines?
However, saying that, I'm sure it's something that *may* work, but the key is advertising. There are gazillions of premium rate phone lines out there, so to make yours work, you have to advertise ahead of all the others. Advertising costs £££'s.

Get a premium rate number. Get stickers made up with "How's my driving? Call XXXXXXXX"
Drive round like a **** cutting people up all the time. Have a recorded message on the number saying thank you for ringing and that they will be put on to the customer service line shortly, then keep them in a loop

As above really the problem with buying 'into' these schemes is a) theres 101 others out there doing it and you have *no* unique offering and b) you gonna have to spend a $hit load to get some awareness.

I wonder if the "Our monthly offer will officially expire in 10days" will still be the same tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that?

Hi Guys,
we setup premium rate numbers for people and you'd be surprised just how well they do. It's the same in any market, if you've got something to sell - out there's always somebody to buy it!!
We did some work with a company that ran the premium rate line for Big Brother on the 1st series where you could call in and listen live - people were calling at 4/5am to listen to people snoring !!! :crazy:
I'd be skeptical of the site you mention - we do have a more integrated approach and premium sms is a good product to utilise - particularly with your own idea. Saying that, we do have clients that do incredibly well with the white-labelled products which we can also offer - including chat 'n' date, adult chat and the rest. It really is quite easy, particularly as all you need to do is advertise!
