Broadband and phone service provider!?
Mornin' all ... just looking for a few ideas / opinions!
Currently have a super-slow wireless broadband and no phone line in my apartment... Moving into a new house in the next couple of months and want to get a phone line (for the obvious reason) and broadband connection that I can access wirelessly from my Mac (and possibly a PC) and has decent connection speeds.
Has anybody got one provider doing both that they'd recommend? Do they supply all the hardware (splitter / router etc?) and would I need to buy additional hardware for the Mac (Powerbook)...?
Any thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

Hi Bradders,
I still continue to use BT.
Depending on the connection speed you're after there are other providers out there too.
Cable and wireless (Bulldog) can provide you with a phone line and up to 8meg. You also have NTL / Telewest too.
The reason why I use BT. Simply no other company has ever given me the level of service and support that they do. Not the cheapest provider I know.
You can get a 2meg connection (whick satisfies my requirements perfectly) for about £20 p/m. Phone line rental should still be 9.99 p/m
BT can provide you with there modem / router. I've never done this as I've heard various stories about reliability. Get a wireless one from PC world. Either Belkin / Netgear etc. They cost in the region of £35 - £80.
If you have any more queries PM me.
Regards
Esh

I use Zen. Been paying £25pm for 512k. Customer service cannot be faulted.
I have opted to switch over to the 8Meg line for the same price as of 1st April. It is capped at 20gig however I never use anywhere near that.

I'm with Pipex. A smidge under 30 quid a month gets me a 1 meg connection, a load of email addies, some webspace I've never used and 3000 minutes of calls (not all numbers but the standard tarrifs are very good).
They seem very good, speeds are always good and it's only been offline once in 18 or so months.
Oh, they give you a free modem too
