Space mountain was the best coaster when I was there a few years back, pirates of the carribean was the best ride.
Don't expect rides though like Alton Towers. Its not that big a park.
If you can accept that, you should have a laugh.
People who don't rate the Paris site have generally been to Florida and expect the same. We haven't and had a brilliant time at Disneyland Paris.

Go to the Disneyland Studios and find out what time the Motors show is on, only a couple of times a day when we were there last and therefore we missed it.
The Rock and Roll Rollercoaster in the same bit was my favourite ride I think, apart from It's a Small World of course.

I'm looking forward to the Disney Special Eurostar. 3 hours from Waterloo
Should be fun.
Is eating and drinking expensive? Eating should be covered, but beer wont be.

You do need to know where to eat / drink and not get the old wallet raped
Hope you like burgers / pizza / bbq chicken.
Although the club sandwiches at the top of main street are nice.
Where are you staying ?

Moteurs stunt show and Aerosmith Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, both in Walt Disney Studios, are really good and right next to each other.
We also got in to the park for free, not sure I'd want to pay for it!

stayed there a few years back - pretty good - quick 10-15 minute walk to the main gate - you go through the shopping area. Rain forest cafe was awful when we went the German restaurant wasnt too bad and prices all round are what you would expect to pay for Disney park.
Have to admit i rate it quite highly even though I have been to Florida many times - at least it easy to get to - you dont have to put up with US immigration control who really need a lesson in manners and customer service.

Dave, Rock & roller coaster in the Studio park is the best
I thought space mountain was crap tbh. Food & drink is fairly expensive, if you get a chance go off site as a lot cheaper.
We maybe looking at Eurostar door to door later in the year or I might drive over, drop the family off & go to the ring for the weekend

Worked there a few weeks ago and loved it - never had time to go on a ride though. Noted they were building a Tower of Terror.
It is a bit pricy - 6 Euros for a thimblefull of terrible wine in The Captain's Bar in Newport Club Hotel. 20E for a pizza etc. However it does all feel quite special and is good fun. Bring a bottle to save a few bob!
Would imagine its hell on earth in August mind!

Not been back long. 9 of us went (3 generations, 1 family) and we all had a great time.
With some careful planning you barely had to queue at all. I thought the parades would be boring but they were really good fun. Had dinner with Mickey and freinds last night.....I cannot believe I got looked forward (1664 induce I reckon) about meeting Disney characters! We were singing and dancing with them....stupid, but great fun.
Aerosmith coaster was our fave ride, most of us did it about 5 times. The stunt show was cool, and they had the lion king stage show on too which went down well.

Big Thunder mountain- Excellent, even better than the US one!
Pirates of the Carribean- Family water ride, but very well done.
Haunted Mansion- Excellent ghost train
It's small world- You bastewards! Why?
Star Tours- Reasonable simulator ride
Rock and Roll Rollercoaster- Excellent ride, especially the launch, also smoother than the US one.
Space Mountain- Extremely dissapointing, very rough and uninteresting layout, apart from the launch. Not a patch on the US one, which is pretty much as old as me.

One word of advice. Stay away from the Hotel Sante Fe. I hated it.
I've never been on a week holiday in a crappy spanish resort hotel, but it must have been like this. Lots of scummy people, eat all you can food (thats speaks volumes), pissed up brits and fighting (not literally) to get some breakfast and an evening meal....DIRT.
Saying that you learn tricks....DO NOT eat your meal in the hotel, and pay extra and have breakfast with disney characters in the resort.

Don't even think of not going first class on the Eurostar, unless you want to spend three hours in cattle class with no food or drink, screaming kids and chav parents.
Unless you're goint to stay in one of the more expensive Disney resorts, you're better off staying elsewhere; the cheaper ones are poor value for money!
TBH. When you tot up the cost of going to EuroDisney and doing it properly, you're not far off going to Florida, which is FAR superior, you also gets lots of other great themeparks and waterparks and much nicer weather......and you don't have to put up with the French*

*Apart from that rather nice french lass who winked at me after my pathetic atempt to order breakfast in rench, but with a strong S.E. London accent! If I hadn't been on holiday with the GF at the time (since broken up), I'd have ben back for some desert, if you know what I mean

As for "not far" off going to Florida, i'd beg to differ.
I thought Eurostar was OK on cattle class, far nicer than flying.

As an example.:
I went with the ex-gf on a 3 day break, special offer with free upgrade to 1st class on Eurostar, stayed in the Santa Fe (very poor, as you've noted). We didn't have much change from £450 each after all was said and done..FOR THREE DAYS.
I went to Florida 2 years back with a mate. All in i.e. travel, accommodation, some food and ALL attractions, not just Disney, It was just under 1k FOR TWO WEEKS!!
Now, obviously, the Florida holiday costs double, which- as you point out- is not an insubstantial amount of money. HOWEVER, that was for two weeks, if you consider VFM, the Florida is in a different league! There is SO much more to do and see, the attractions are better, the weather is better, the people are much nicer, the food is better, ditto the accommodation.
As a short break, providing you accept that it won't be cheap and avoid the crappy 2 star Dsney hotels, Eurodisney is fine.
BUT if you want the REAL disney experience and a lot more besides, it has to be Florida!

Depends what you like. If you are going with young kids, the big rides are unimportant and the atmosphere and attitude of the staff are what counts. I can't fault Eurodisney on either but we always stay at the DisneyLand Hotel. It is expensive but is a wonderful trip for the kids - particularly at Christmas. I have been thinking that one of the other Resort Hotels would offer better value in the future but the comments here tend to suggest otherwise.
I can't imagine ever wanting to spend more than a couple of days on one visit and, as I live in the South East, I always drive there - by far the easiest and most comfortable way to travel.
Not sure about the comments about the French but they have to be infinitely preferable to crowds of screaming Americans.

The Santa Fe was pants, but if you just used it as a room to stay in...then it was fine. I'd stay there again, but I'd not eat there.
I had to laugh - we went on the Runaway train thing, and my little girl cried her eyes out....she hated it. I asked her why and she said it was dark and very noisey (when you get pulled up).
She was not tall enough for Space mountain or the Indiana jones thing, but was tall enough for the rock and roller coaster.
I told her that I didn't think it was a good idea as it went upside down 3 times and would be more scarey and darker then the runaway train.....anyway, she loved it It's now hard to convince her that the tea cups and dumbo rides are for her age group(7)!
