Question PaintBalling - Prices??

My daughter has just been sold 24 VIP Tickets to some PaintBalling Outfit - with areas all around the country - for £50.

This apparently includes, the kit, helmet, lunch ......

The PaintBalls cost £10 per 100 when you book up - this is what they want you to pay ........ £240 (for the 24 people, set up with 100 paintballs each).

Now, I have no idea about this ... is it good or bad?? She is an adult but she is wondering if she has been had somewhere (because she thinks that its cheap!?).

Will 100 paintballs last all day?? The guns shoot at a rate of 7 per second - so, I'm guessing they make their money on the sale of PaintBalls?????

The place is www.ministryofpaintball.com

Any hints, tips, advice I can pass to her and her friends??

Pete

Sounds a bit steep ,the place i used to go was £12 for kit hire which included your first 100 ***** . and then £6 per 100 after. Depends on how trigger happy you are, although i did go through a 1000 paint ***** once

P.S I think we paid £6 for a 100 at www.skirmishscotland.co.uk on a stag do too, but there were also discounts for if you bought say 500 at a time

The trick is to find out which colour they're currently using

£25 per head is the going rate from my experience, usually with 100 ***** thrown in, kit and lunch.

The more expensive ones usually have more ***** included or the "really" expensive ones are unlimited *****.

If you need to buy *****, buy them in multiple boxes (usually cheaper) and share them between mates. Buying indivdual bags is a waste of money. If you can use your own ***** (or smuggle them in - but be careful they may use differnt colour paint) you will be better off money-wise.

Take home unused *****, and keep them in in a cool, dry, dark place until next time, and sneak them into your hopper

Thanks for the inputs ... she seems like she got a good deal then?

£2:08 each person as an entry fee which would normally cost £25.

Then £10 per 100 paintballs .... but, 500 Paintballs are £30!!

Good deal overall??

Pete

I've bought 40 VIP tickets from these ppl in Nottm on saturday!!! £98
you pay the £10 booking fee when you book the place and as you say it gives you £10 worth of FREE paint *****!!
Everything included for the FULL day out!

The girl said she uses about 350 ***** ALL DAY!!
remember when your there you get discounts on 100 *****.. about £6.
so if a group of you go you al put in a kitty!

I thought this was a grwat deal as when i did P-balling a few years ago.. it cost me £25 to go!!! and £10 a bag of *****

So mt 40 tickets for £98 I think is very good value For money

YOu don't have to use all the tickets up at once!! you can use then at different sites... and different dates!

Phil
ps... I'm going for my stag weekend/ TedEd told me about it.. and him being my best man.. thought I'd take his advice

Cheers Phil ....... seems she did well then? But, like her, you haven't tried completing the deal yet?

I feel really bad now, cos I had a go at her for being so stupid as the deal was too good and she has been robbed!!

I don't trust anyone you see??

LOL
i thought it was too good to be true.

Ministry of paint ball are a company that deal with loads of paint ball compaines over the country.. and OZ!!! so they are like an agent!!

My only problem was the girl taking to us was from OZ and I found it very hard to follow what she was saying! lol

She'll be ok.

Pete, I think you should also buy the same deal. Sell them on here stating you will be in attendance. I am sure one or two people from here will come along to be on the opposing side to your team.....!

Put me down for 1000 rounds

Perhaps you can get an armoured bath chair and tartan effect kevlar blanket to keep your legs warm

God those prices... makes me glad I'm a walk on player.

£30 for a 1000 as a walk on (at NPF Bassets Pole) and I CAN get 2000 for that much when I play at Bawtry on the own gunners day (and that's for decent paint - not the usual site crap)

A hopper holds 150 paint on the standard site guns (mines slightly larger at 200) and I'll get through a couple of hoppers PER GAME.

I've just booked our paintball for the lads at work.

£9.99 each (for a full day) and then £6 per 100. Or if you buy in advance they drop to 1000 for £49.99 and you get either a smoke grenade or a paint grenade thrown in(excuse the pun ) for free.

this is from http://www.goballistic.co.uk.

Anyone been to the Brighton one?

thats more than what Pete's daughter and i've paid.... do you get 100 ***** in that £9.99?

i have 40 tickets for £98 pounds.. thats only £2.45 each player!!!!!! inc LUNCH!!!
when i ring up and book i have to pay for a bag of ***** in advance! £10
then when we're there a bag of ball is £6 per 100
or they do bulk buying offers thats a lot cheaper!!

so £12.45 inc a day paint balling + lunch + 100 ***** to start off with. (think its worth it for the burger)
