Rating every thread....
Not sure what you're trying to gain by rating every thread, but it just messes up the forums.
Please stop it.
If you continue, we'll announce who you are, and place restrictions on your account(s) or just ban you.

Let me first state that I know nothing about the software that runs this site.Having said that could you set the software to automtically rate a thread based on the number of replies & views given over a period of time thereby removing the human element?
Any gurus out there?

What about the odd thread that hasn't been rated? The poor thread starter will feel a bit gutted
Rate them all I say
Them all!

maybe the ratings should be restricted to people who pay the membership fee as another incentive for people to spend some cash

Guys
To be clear. The problem was someone rating every thread with 5 stars, regardless of the content.
The reason this messes up the forum, is that the rating system is there in order to help people see which threads are considered by the community to be of particular worth, etc. This means you can search and sort threads by rating. Rating everything thread 5 stars just for fun ruins this.

Of course you can rate threads, but we just want one muppet to stop rating everything just for a laugh.
If you replied to every single thread with a post "This thread is good!". do you think people would get annoyed? This is the same.

This is a great thread .
It's a bit like the old days when the webbie would get upset with someone on a daily basis - I miss all the "**** off if you don't like it" messages
