Hi all, I know these ebay questions come up all the time.

I have won an auction (saturday night), and using paypall, sent the payment right away. When I look at the status of the item in myebay, it says payment pending.

I have already received a receipt from paypal telling me that the money has gone from my account into the other persons.

Does this mean that the other person hasnt verified that he has received the money yet?

More likely that eBay is just being slow updating the records at their end.

I would ignore it if you got a receipt from paypal.

 

I get this too but just manually update fleabay to show that i've paid.

 

Payment pending status also appears if you have funded the payment with a credit card and the seller does not have the facility to accept these types of payments without upgrading their account.

try an e cheque,

according to paypal 4 days to clear!!!

its almost a week now and jack!!

That's 4 days either way for an e-cheque. 4 days for PayPal to get the money cleared from the buyer then 4 days to get it cleared in the sellers account.

Anybody that has paid me via e-cheque in the past has waited for 10 days before I've despatched the goods, due to clearance times.
