would a cat d car still be covered by a warranty?
as above really, would the dealer/garage know if it was a cat d? and if so would the warranty be void?
thanks

I cant see them turning it away for work done depending on what your taking it back for, obviously certain stuff like suspension they might not cover as they could claim it was damaged in the accident or its failing is due to poor repair or original damage etc etc although if you take the car back for say something thats unrelated I cant see how they can turn it away. say an engine problem etc...

cheers dave, the car in question is a flood damaged x type jag,(ebay) the seller has dried it all out and replaced electrical items such as seat motors etc, they said the engine wasnt damaged at all, but why would a car be cat d if all it had was water inside the car????

I 'heard' that anything that had 'significant' water damage should never see a road again. A convertible left in the rain, or car wash with windows open would be ok but a car that's been submersed either 1/2way or fully would be a no-no. There's too many parts of the car that could never properly dry out without completely taking it apart which would prove far too costly.
