Question Taking legal action against a company in USA

Any legal bods know what the process is to take a firm to small claims court who is based in the USA, they have a division in the UK but my claim is with the US lot. I have spoken to the court and they said I should put some phrase on the top quoting some agreement the UK has with the USA, they said they couldn't tell me exactly what it was and I would need to search the UK court website, but I'm damned if I can find it.
Any help/advice much appreciated.

Hello

I would say you need a solicitor. Having worked in America (and still do quite a lot), you try and take any legal action or even just hint at it and they will have lawyers all over you.

Thumbs up

Steve,
thanks for the input, I know I can use the small claim court here and it will cost me £120 for the amount I am claiming, to be honest I would relish the chance of a hearing with the company (they could bring their mascot - Large Mouse - know who I mean ?) even if I loose it will have cost them a lot more to send someone, I just got a little miffed after spending thousands of pounds with them and then being treated like a nobody after getting a raw deal.

Advice given to me was don't go to court unless you really need to(and revenge is not a good enough reason) as the outcome is rarely what you expect.

Is it a holiday claim? You might want to speak to a lawyer who deals with those.

Think the court are talking about EU countries though, not USA.
