very interested to hear from those who use their mobiles as tomtom units. i know you need to buy a gps card but is it worth while doing or should i just buy a tomtom?

Hi there,
I use to have a 6600, but now have a 6680.
Tomtom works a treat! All I ended up buying was a Holux GPS unit (the best as far as I'm concerned).
Defo worth getting a GPS unit.
Use it no end, I have most the maps.

I have a Nokia N70 which I use as Tomtom as well as my normal phone. It needs the software, a DV RS MMS card (about £25) - at least 256Mb but 512Mb is cheap enough.
I also have a Holux GPSlim236 which I got from www.navpal.co.uk
Tomtom works very well unless you load the free gatso database, in which case it crashes quite regularly.
