The only thing I can think of is that TFT screens don't refresh as quickly as CRT screens. You may not see the benefit of your 50 fps graphics card?

Cool

What you gonna do drop it on top of someone.

"screen in the hole" or such.

I'd stick to the guns and grenades if I was you!

i was told that the flat panel i have would cause problems with games, but I've not a seen a problem, ok, i've only been playing UT and don't have a funky gfx card (thinking about a Hercules Prophet III 3D Titanium 500) so that might be the reason.

Good

Thanks for the replies folks

I'm running a 32mb Millenium G450 Twinhead

I also heard that running 2 screens was an advantage in on-line gaming - anyone confirm/deny?

Are you running two monitors Puff? I've got the G450 DualHead as well and UT refuses to run full screen when I've got the DualHead running.

Other minor problem is that my desk isn't actually big enough to have 17" monitors on at the same time...

Chris

Yup - CS runs f/screen mode on Primary Screen (1)

I'm running W2K Pro & I had to download all the latest drivers to get it to work anyway. I have it set up as 1 big (wide) desktop. I see to recall there's a little exe/update that you download to allow it to do this under W2K.

Apart from that, I bought a Flatscreen a couple of months ago & yesterday, I installed a new one - one that my boss allowed me to exchange FOC for my 5yr old 17" (We need 17s here but space not an issue & no need (other than ergonomics/asthetics) for flatties) & they are becoming v.cheap...)

Cheers Puff - does he want a couple more 17s in exchange for a pair of TFTs?
