Brokeback Mounting
Just got back from watching this film. Unfortunately I forced my girlfriend to watch 50 cents film, which she hated, so as payback I got forced to watch this. Oh my god!!! It is soooooutterly crap I cannot begin to describe it. How it ever got all those good reviews and award nominations I just don't know.
Pretty much NOTHING happens in the entire 2 hour film. Its just talking and mostly silence and the occasional country music. Even if it was about a man and a woman it would still be as pathetic. The fact that it had 2 men going it at it made it even worse.
If you have not seen this film, then I seriously suggest you keep it that way.
My girlfriend admitted afterwards that she thought it was utter tosh too.
Anyone watch it and actually enjoy it?

When I caught a brief glimpse of the trailer I thought "cool, a cowboy film". Then I heard about the plot.

Went to see this with a new bird last night (planned to see munich which I wanted to see but she was keen on bumback mountain and I wanted to get laid so she won 
)
I can't see how on earth it has had so much good press, ok its put together quite well, superb camera work (place reminds me of lake louise), and some very difficult issues tackled. Overall ok film and can see why certain types would like it so much.
Sex scenes are horrific for a straight male

Clever too: going to see that film may increase your chances of getting laid in two ways:
1) It shows your sensitive side (and indicates you're comfortable with your sexuality)
2) The sight of two men at it may turn her on.
UNFORTUNATELY
You won't be able to get the image out of your head if you do get lucky later!
On the plus side, if you agreed to watch that with her, then I think its only fair that she watches lesbian addicts vol 23 with you!!

Any film that gets rave reviews and huge amounts of advanced PR like this usually is an arty farty luvvies movie.
lets face it it could have been grass growing, if the luvvies give it the thumbs, it would be at the oscar nominations

mrs ghost had a good sob at the end of brokeback - "i never thought gay love could be so beautiful!" she sniffled in the car. half an hour later, i was thinking the same about the chinese takeaway.

Lets just hope that someone in Hollywood makes a film about the beauty of love between 2 women.
Lesbian DEA officers? Their crooked as hell, doing more drugs than the criminals and indeed doing each other.
I'd give that film an oscar!

I suppose they are all raving about it because is appears to be PC to openly praise such twaddle. As soon as someone "comes out" in public it seems to be a signal for an instant round of applause!
If people want to do that sort of thing good luck to them and keep it to themselves, but I really don't feel as though I would want to put up with a film about it.
