what code do i use to dial from the UK so i can talk to someone in the USA

It really beats me why these sorts of questions are asked on SN when a simple google of "International dialling codes" would have yielded the answer.

if you dial 0844 861 5757 and then listen for the message, then enter the phone number (001 xxx xxx xxxx) followed by #. It'll only cost you a penny a minute. I spend at least an hour a day on the phone to the usa and my phone bill is minimal, it's even included in my free minutes from 02!
