Im currently on Job Seekers Allowence (Dole!) and due to my eye (do a search!) Ive been signed off for 3 weeks from going to the Job Centre. I was told to ring Income Support in Grimsby to have my Job Seekers money stopped and transferred to Benefit. Well! You wont believe how long winded that was! They asked basic questions this morning and said they'd phone back between 1 and 5, good job i cant go anywhere! I spent the next 45 minutes saying no to a load of questions that bore no relevence to me, "was i a middle east refugee?" "Am, i in care?" Then when she got to my qualifications she kept on deleting them! I ended up telling her 3 times! So im medically signed off for 3 weeks but theyve decided it best to sign me off for 8!

You shouldve said yes to that one!! You could look forward to extra benefits, and know that you wouldnt get pressured into looking for a new job then!

I remember I went to the job centre to try and sign-on while I was job hunting after finishing uni - but when it became apparent I had savings in the bank I was treated as if I was a criminal, and wasnt able to claim a penny!!

They told me if i had over 6k they couldnt help me, luckily i have a scooby so thats that problem solved!

because i signed on early !! the system cant cope she told me

WTF no wonder its a shambles,

and then she said we have targets to meet!!


forget your "turn up early, and be prepared" attitude, its turn up at the time WE say!

then she said " I see your down as a specialist, I like speciialists, lets see what we can find..

nothing!!


and they wonder where the money gets splurged!
