Why do some stories get loads of coverage, yet some are almost ignored???

There was a story a few weks ago about a gang of Asian lads who kicked a white man to death, just for fun. The judge said "It was not a racist attack". Now, change the story to a gang of white men who kick a Asian man to death, and you can bet your life it will be classed a racist.

Fly the St George's flag out of your window. See how long it takes for the cops to come round telling you to take it down for "Enciting racist behavior". Yet it is a Muslims right to fly his counties (Afgan / Irac etc) flag. Their proud of where they come from.

but would have to agree, he's not black enough, doesn't have a vagina, is a legal resident of the UK, and is not a police officer.

imagine if it has been his eldest who was killed, there would be full scale reviews, the chief of the met would be on perminant standby, sky news 24/7 streets flooded with officers, laws changed to give meaningfull punishment to the offenders.

How many more innocent people have to die, before this government wakes up to the fact that we are turning into a lawlwss society, where criminal action is the norm, with no or little chance of them being caught and punished, and there weak laclustre pc human rights crap is half of the problem,
the other being whishy washy punishments and pc aproch to the problem

Yes, but if its the case I'm thinking of, the tw@ts also attacked a black man and an asian man which is why the judge couldn't rule the attack as "racist"

You mean apart from being in most of the papers, and front page of one? What exactly is your idea of heavy coverage then? And since about 800 people a year are murdered in this country IIRC, but only about ten make front page news, this one is actually being puffed up more than most - probably because he's a rich middle-class sort.

Now, as a society where knife crime and murder is now an everyday practice, with gun related crime thrown in for good measure....The media, police, government and judicial system now consider it as "everyday" and "normal" for the way of life in a UK city.

It was well covered in the media from the start.

That apart, it is almost unbelievable to see what has happened in this country in modern times as far as selfishness, violence and grievous mugging offences etc are concerned. NL keep shouting about how they have reduced crime as that smug woman Blears was saying yesterday but they never mention the enormous increase in gratuitous violence and the seemingly total lack of respect for human life any more.

This used to be such a moderate country where people thought of others and acted in a friendly manner to others and were only too happy to help where needed. Where has all that gone, why do people seem to regard strangers as an instant enemy before they have any inkling about their real characters. I often get the impression that if I catch someone's eye he will be looking for an excuse to lay into me. Maybe it is the over competitive influence these days, which is usually counter productive anyway.

Maybe one day we will find a way to live and let live again and people will become less inclined to murder a man after they have stolen all he had on him anyway. Needs a lot more than a useless "Respect" agenda to stop that sort of thing. That is only an effort to impress us all but everyone sees through that rubbish anyway. The general ineptitude beeing displayed now is beyond belief!
