Default Loud Adverts

Is it me or are adverts ridiculously louder than the TV programmes that surround them. Some especially with deep voice overs are just booming loud and just take over the room. It's making me mute the bloody things...

wow- only yesterday - can't imagine how i missed that - cheers for the heads up - bandwidth thing is very interesting..

I know when I was in Houston on the radio stations they were always on a 10 mins delay and they had a computer thing which would automatically cut the pauses out between peoples words so instead of "hello <pause> this <pause> is <pause>wrkc" you'd get this mental high speed delivery on everything- everyone just spoke without a seconds pause...they could then squeeze in another 10 mins of ads every hour!!..lunacy...

You are right about the increased volume for adverts. Really stupid idea because it makes people reduce the volume so that they can't hear the adverts anyway.

My new TV will automatically maintain the same volume throughout now anyway.

Hi, I'm Barry Scott

I think it is much worse if you have a monural TV. The vartion in volume between programmes on our kitchen TV is highly annoying.

Also it is becoming the fact that they have "program breaks" between the adverts now

'Tis bloody annoying.
If an advert is too loud I mute the sound and make a note not to buy whatever product is being advertised. If everyone did the same the problem would soon be solved.

I wouldn't know, I hit the mute button at each commercial break ; or whizz through them at 30x on Sky+.
