Credit Card Cheques!!!
Completely and utterly unsolicited Credit Card Cheques have dropped through my letterbox!!
I have about 10 Credit Cards, change each as a better one comes out .......
5 Letters have arrived with 5 cheques in EACH!!! - 25 Cheques!! completed with the exception of writing in the name to and amount ............ and a signature, I guess (for what thats worth!)
Now, my credit limit on each card is well above £15,000 each!! The limit is stated on the letter AND the card number is given in FULL!!
Now, if these were intercepted in the post they could be used and my account would see the amount ................... they would come after me for payment!
I do NOT want them, do NOT need them ...... they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this ****e!!!!
I rang one and she said she would e-mail the department to stop them, however, "Would I like to transfer my funds from another card?" NO! I said - "How about Payment Protection Sir?" she replied!!
FFS!!!!!!! I blew my top ... "I am ringing to stop cheques NOT to be given a sales pitch!!"
Pisses me RIGHT off!!

Do you not need to use your credit card as a sort of cheque guarantee card along with them? - So someone would need to intercept the cheques and the card, but if they have intercepted the card they don't need the cheques, so whats the panic?

If it wasn't you that wrote the cheque, you won't be liable. May end up being a bit of a ball ache, but wouldn't cost you money. Hardly worth having a seizure over!

My credit card statement has my full details on it yet I've not been victim to fraud. Anyway when I get credit card cheques it's a case of open letter, ahh credit card cheques, insert in cross cut shredder, credit card cheques gone. Carry on with my day and not bother ranting on SNet about it

Fully with pete on this one i have a couple or three old cards used for there interest free offers and now and again i have these through the post totally unsolicited they go straight to the shredder.

A replacement card sent to me got intercepted earleir this year (by eastern europeans working at mail sorting office) and they whacked up £11k on it in a day or so. Dumb ***** got greedy though by doing the same thing to often and were busted and front page news in the local paper. Ha!

I'm with Pete (and won't apologise for it neither 
). Bloody disgusting. I got a credit card sent to me by the Portuguese AA. WTF? Then they complain about people living on credit and all these financial criminals. The best bit, wait for it... try to take more than 100 quid out of a cashpoint and they won't let you "because we're protecting your money"!!!

I feel that if people want them then they should ask for them and get them recorded del. or such not just get sent them as a matter of course in these times and with id thieft an issue.
