Overseas Bouncers????
Is there any Door staff on here that have worked on the nightclubs anywhere overseas? I have worked on the doors in the U.K. but I am considering packing in my job to do the above because I am well pissed off over here.
Any info would be appreciated regarding wages, conditions, resorts and experiences.....Cheers.

I lived and worked in Ibiza and did a bit of everything.
I can't see why you wouldn't get a job on a door abroad with experience here. Where were you thinking of?
In certain places, like Spain for example, there are no real rules like they have here, (if there are, I have never seen anyone take any notice of them!) and as far as I'm aware British door staff policies are stricter than most other countries.

Anywhere really, I have a friend that has just gone working in Barcelona and another who will soon be working in Greece (neither of them on the doors) but thought it would be cool to hook up with either one of them.
Saying that just getting out of my present situation over here is my priority. I have nothing over here just a house and a p1 which I am selling. I am tired of working in a crap job, I just want to live my life and have some fun before I am too old to know where my life went.
Have you or anyone any idea of how much I could expect to earn or does anyone know of any places they could suggest I try to find work????

As far as work goes in toursit type places, I assume this will be where you are looking, it's pretty much word of mouth in my experience.
If you have mates in places, get over there and get to know people, and just ask around. Most places will probably be in need of staff most of the time. If you don't get the job on the door immediately, I'm sure you won't starve, there's always work of many kinds.
Your best bet for finding work would be to hit a big tourist venue in late April or early May before the season starts, get to know the "workers" and you should be fine.

its just a case of the above. i done 9 months in tenerife, most of the bouncers out there were local/spanish. not many english guys, a couple were there tho. They had a couple of ppl that had shipped theyre cars over and were obviously living there permanently.
There was a couple of russian bouncers at the strip joint too.
Best thing is to go and get to know ppl in the time you've got, it really is the only option because the jobs usually arnt advertised, just word of mouth and cash in hand.
It might help being english as if you're in a tourist place you can communicate better with the pissheads

a friend of mine went to the US and got a job working as a doorman cash in hand! No work visa and cash at the end of every night! I think he worked there for a couple of months until his tourist visa run out,the money was good and he went out everyday visiting the all the sights
