samsung d600e, and also blackberry.....
I desperately need to upgrade my mobile.
As a business user I am in the highest band for Orange so I can basically choose what I want for free.
really not bothered about 3g etc, I just want something that will fit nicely in a pocket, have good coverage, good signal / reception, decent user interface, good battery life and everything else is a bonus.
although the advertising with Mourinho has somewhat put me off I'm probably going to get the samsung d600 e. anybody have this phone and can give me some user feedback?
also, I do need to get a blackberry at some point, Orange will finally launch a blackberry service for small-business users early this year, but I don't want it as my main phone, I just want it when I am away on business. presumably I can't get it without having a new phone line / account, as the Blackberry service / subscription etc is completely separate from phone line rental???
thanks
Ed

I have had the D600 for a few months now.
Good points -
Nice sleek phone, looks good.
Good reception (vodafone)
Good battery - seems to last for ages but it is new i suppose
Loud speaker (my other one didnt have one)
Good MP3 player
Bad points -
Doesnt automatcially save yours txts to outbox, you have to select a different option
Dont like the txt editor, press red and it clears it so you have to save to draft and redo - no 'are you sure' message.
Cant reselect words so you can change the spelling after you have written them, you have to delete the whole word and start again.
Overall I like it a lot, I can live with the stupid txt editor.
Neil.

thing is, I don't want a chunky pda phone as my only phone, i'd rather seperate the two as i only need the email facility sporadically.

I know that you can change the words using the 0 key but once you written the word and gone on to another one you cannot go back and reselect any of the words - meaning you have to got back and delete them, then write them out again. On my Sharp and on Nokias it allows you to do this.

The predictive text is very intuitive and it learns new (rude) words very quickly. Only possible downside is a lack of a decent car kit which is why I kept my Nokia 6230. If you don't wan't to walk around with 2 gadgets, the model I've got - 7110 - is not much bigger than most small phoes available today.
Cheers
