Default Is my Sky+ box on its way out?

Just recently my sky+ recordings have been jumping/stuttering every so often. Does this mean the hard disk is on its way out? It's a Pace box about 2 years old and out of warranty. If it is the hard drive i would put a bigger one in thats compatible.

Hope someone can help

Tried forcing an update as it may not have been done? Failing that bigger hard disk always nice to have. I have just upgraded to the 160 free of charge because of the Recommend a friend scheme

Is that a standard offer or did you approach them? The only offer I've seen is £25-50 or m&s vouchers.

our box is about 8months old.. and it wiped all the recorded Sky+ stuff off it and you couldn't record on it!!!

rang SKY and the girl on the fone did a total 're-start' on the box.. and it works fine now.
she said its because when you delete recordings it leaves fragments of recordinds on the hard drive.. hence giving conflict.
once we re set the system its been fine... she said it shouldn't ahppen again... in the next 6months anyway.
