The Prodigy - any similar groups or music?
Although my tastes im music center around Metal and Rock I recently picked up 'Their Law' by The Prodigy.
Absolutely love it, but now I want to listen to similar stuff; so anybody got any recommendations?

Have a listen to Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Kid 606 and maybe some popier but equally enjoyable stuff like Kosheen. I'm also mainly a guitar music man but enjoy the above. Try the link below, perfect for what want - type in Prodigy and off you go.

I have been looking for similar kinda stuff for years! I have found Chemical Brothers,Leftfield and some of the Underworld music etc in the same league.
I wouldn't mind more info on the subject myself.

Isnt it funny how some stuff seems to get better with time? Take 'Born Slippy' by Underworld.... When it came out it pissed me off whenever I heard it and it just seemed to sum up how dance music was f*cked into a cocked hat.
I saw Mauro Picotto a couple of years ago and 'Born Slippy' was the height of the evening ffs!.........
Lager! Lager! Lager!

What irritates me is that the best Prodigy album was "Experience" I can understand they wanted to change their sound to a more Rock/Rap style. But for the legions of ORGINAL fans, its a kick in the teeth.

Prodigy were great in their day - not so keen on the new stuff.
Experience and Music for the Jilted Generation were fantastic albums.
Other similar sorts of groups that spring to mind are Underworld, Chemical Brothers.

Ive been a fan for years, and still maintain that their music matured with the 'Fat of the land album', remember being at V97 when they closed in Chelmsford, magic.
Some of the stuff that Liam has done on his own is ok, but not my personal favourites, although will agree with everyone else Chemical Brothers is a good place to start.

Theres not really an alternative for me regarding the Prodigy, there is no better cd to put ya foot down to other than "Experience"
Truly awesome
Best track has got to be Out of Space though

Give 'Pendulum' a go. They're drum and bass but have done a quality re-mix of 'Voodoo People' recently... They're original material seems good on first listen though

Underworld performing this live in a big circus tent in a field with several thousand people jumping up and down when they cut the music in time for everyone to shout out:
Lager! Lager! Lager!
