Default What's up with the Quick Reply?

I type in a reply, click the button and almost every time I get an error message saying "This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 24 seconds."

WTF? I only clicked the button once...it's becoming annoying now. Grrr...

Anyone else experiencing this?

Well, no I haven't FB because I'm only trying to post a reply once to whatever thread I happen to be on and it usually takes me a wee bit more than 30 seconds to go between threads reading and replying.

its not a problem though, it just tells you how long you have to wait again before posting, as opposed to being you told you have to wait 30 seconds. it doesnt take a genius to work it out

there is a problem though...................sometimes when you post a reply you do not get notified that the post has been accepted so you post again and it ends up a double post or more

sara are you saying that you are also getting the 30 wait message even if you haven't posted anything for over 30 seconds?

thats the one i did mention this a few days ago but no one listened

it isnt always the same but sometimes it does it every post. and what it the okay bit when you have posted too soon, you click it and it just returns back to the unposted post.....total waste of time imo

tis all very confusing.........even for me

Question

I've just had that one. Now I've got a strange new character set on a blank white background. Earlier today when trying to preview a post I got the message about an invalid thread specified.

this message is from SN...

Hi All,

Apologies for any issues with getting on to ScoobyNet or the missing of features that were otherwise available.

We are presently upgrading both our software, hardware and operating Systems, which unfortunately means features have disappeared and/or the site maybe off-line for minimal periods of time.

Please be rest assured we will keep any disruption to a bear minimum and we should be back up better than ever within the next week or so.

Regards,
ScoobyNet

we are always having problems and i remember the last time the software was being up-graded......we waited patiently untill everything was sorted.........but it was never problem free, will this be the same

Sara,

Stop taking the Viagra..... as it seem's to be over inflating the blood vessels in your mouth.

Is that like a small cuddly friendly teddy type bear rather than a big huge nasty grizzly type bear?

Well, there you go:

"This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 28 seconds."

And I assure you webby, I clicked on the Post Quick Reply only once and have not posted anywhere else on the site this morning (just read a few posts in the Photography Forum).
