Question Super Bock

Having consumed this king of beers for the last several years whilst enjoying the sunny climate of Portugal, i have consistently scoured super markets and other beverage emporiums in my quest to find this superior liquid alas to no avail, until that is last night when I found it in my local Tesco. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The quandary is now ……
Do I buy it ?
What if its not as good as when consumed abroad (suitably chilled that is )
Can I handle the disappointment

Super Bock rocks Bought a bottle back from Lagos that sits proudly next to my monitor.

We sung a little jingle when someone had to go and replenish stocks . . .

<Sung to the Supermatch game tune from Blankety Blank>
Super Bock run, Super Bock run, Super Bock run . . . Super Bock run

We considered releasing the single in Bulgaria. Guess you had to be there

I don't really think beer is that expensive here anymore tbh. Can quite often get 8 cans for a fiver.

To bring this up to speed

I did indeed buy a 6 pack (purely for research purposes of course).

Let them cool in the fridge for 24hrs

Absolutely fantastic

Only problem now is to leave it alone so as not to become too accustomed to it.

Morrisons seem to stock this as well, out local Tesco doesn't. I also agree that Sagres is nicer but haven't seen that anywhere in the UK (yet)

Paul, not sure I know those names, but I'm not one for wandering so that's not an issue. I certainly do enjoy it here!

In the interests of my duties as a public servant, and as I'd like to keep fellow SNetters informed of special offers, I'd just like to say that I was in the El Corte Ingles (The Spanish Shop ) supermarket today, and saw them selling Super Bock six-packs which include another four free, so that's 10 33cl bottles @ €2.30, so 23 cents or about 16p a bottle.

My Italian relatives are here and taking advantage of this, they inform me it's considerably better than Italian beer

Now there's all sorts of oddities - Super Bock Tango (I think raspberry flavour? Groselhas), Super Bock Green...

And so that Diablo doesn't get left out, Pierce Brosnan is advertising Sagres Bohemia.
