Default Which job interview questions do you like least?

I wish they wouldn't ask questions like this:

"Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"

and

"How do you think technology will develop in the future?"

How is anyone supposed to answer them? If I could see into tomorrow I'd be in the bookies or winning the lottery, never mind the next five years! And if I knew how technology would develop then I'd be getting a head-start now!

Hmm....any more difficult ones?

"Tell me about yourself" - far too open, where do you start? It's a good one to find out if the person you are interviewing is a good conversationalist or not.

To be honest I ask these type of questions when I interview not so much as to see what people say but just that they have an opinion and can discuss their thoughts.. If what they say makes sense and seems sensible then that is a good start. So say what you think and try and come across as having belief and interest in what you are talking about..

I reckon most questions, and answers too, in interviews are basic standard answers.... Most people must come out with the same thing IMO...

How about

"Why are you looking to leave your current job"

Again, can be said with a standard thought out answer but I bet half of you who have had this question have had to bite their lip from saying "Because my current boss is a kn0b"

Doesnt apply to me btw, my boss is sound, been here 10 years now. Actually, not sure if thats a good thing..lol

I was interviewed by a rather tasty young lady for an IT support role a few years ago and was asked "If you were a fruit what would you be?"...I said "A Banana" and was then asked to explain why..chicks love bananas right?

This question was closely followed by "I really want to get inside your mind and find out how you tick"....I bumped into her a few months later in a bar (by accident ) and she denied asking the above questions..she was barmy
