Best film this year
Hello !
Time to start a "best of..." thread. Whats the best film you have seen this year (new release in cinema or on DVD) ?
For me it has to be "The Business". Absolutely brilliant.

Tiggs, I suppose the unique style of SinCity won't be to everyones taste. To compare it to a Segal movie though
Also enjoyed "Crash". Seemed very relevant and thought provoking in the aftermath of 7/7 and other events.

Haven't seen a great deal of films this year, one of the best is definitely Madagascar. It had me laughing uncontrallably on the plane, Sacha Baron Cohen is superb
I haven't seen W&G or 40 yr old virgin but they sound like my sort of films, Anchorman was hilarious as well

Sin city was good, but not a patch on star wars "must see at the flicks" factor....
I went to see march of the penguins at the pics last night ( get me, all arty farty ), some awesome cinematography, the plot was a little predicatable though . If you are into your nature type documentaries, its well worth a watch.

BTW, I'm hoping to see King Kong soon, might change my submission if the critics are right.
Missed Star Wars , got annoyed by Sin City; could have been brilliant but just toooo slow. (Maybe I could ask webbie to delete half the features?)

Sin City
The Descent
Serenity
War of the Worlds
