UPDATED: Think the mark up on Xbox360 is bad try Barbie Horse Head!!
We've probably all seen the prices some people are paying to ensure they get an xbox360 for christmas, but its not the only item this christmas that is commanding a value on auction sites higher than its retail.
The item in question is a "Barbie Pegasus Groom & Glam Horse Head". Its basically a dodgy looking purple horses head that young girls of 3 and up can groom, plat, style etc to their hearts content.
Argos price is currently a bargain £19.99. A very helpful chap on Amazon is currently asking £115 for the same item
Ebay auctions are not less than £50 if you include postage and even the US ebayers are getting involved and buying them for $29.99 from wallmart and flogging them over here for £50 and that doesn't always include postage.
I love my 4 year old daughter very much however I'm not quite about to lose my senses and purchase one of these things at such extortionate prices. She has plenty anyway and I think the event of taking her shopping with her christmas money to buy one herself in January would be fun.
(least thats what I'm hoping rather than "Wheres the head? I asked for the head! What the hell is all this tat!?")
So many little sparkly things for the cat to choke on!

Hello
I should have brought a whole load home with you the other day from America. I was tempted to bring back some Pegasus dolls as Walmart were selling them off for only $12 (£8ish) each. They are £19.99 here.

Apparently Mattel completely misjudged the demand for this horse head. It was an experimental toy that they decided only to produce in relatively small quantities.
There are supposed to be a few thousand more arriving in the UK either this week or next but its going to be hard to find one now. No way am I paying £50 plus for something I can get for £19.99 after christmas.
Anyway, if its anything like the other head we bought her, the make up will go on the childs face causing a nasty rash, the little sequins etc will be lost within minutes later to be found in the cats litter tray (ouch ) and the hair will become so matted and full of chocolate that it will become useless within a week and chucked to the back of the toy room with all the other toys deemed unworthy by her majesty.
