Advice needed on learning to drive
Daughter coming up to 17 soon and wants to learn to drive. I cant teach her as I've not got the patience and she cant drive the scoob anyway.
Just wondering if it's best to do weekly lessons or give her a weeks intensive course.
Any instructors out there with any advice. Anyone taken an intensive course recently or in the past.
Chip

the driving is the easy bit its the theory test that takes the time get her a cheap car and sit with her it takes a lot of lessons to be any good practice with you and proper lesson once a week the more practice the better and more relaxed she will be come test day

Can give you the details for a very good instructor in Cardiff if you want, he's pretty fussy but is a good teacher - does all sorts of options on intensive and semi intensive courses and is cheaper than people like BSM and the AA and has a very high pass rate ( only downside is she'll have to learn in a Corsa, but then girls like those sort of cars dont they ? ).

FWIIW - there's no substitute for time on the road for general road craft. While an intensive session may be of benefit before the test, I suggest she doesn't try to go for the pass too quickly, but that's just MO.
