Angry Morons on Scoobynet.

Quotes from todays tw@ts.

"He was an american sky marshall so just itching to shoot someone."
Know the guy do you? If I'm on a plane, and some tw@t yells "i have a bomb" then too f***ing right, I want him shot. At worst the guys mentally ill, at best lives are saved.

And:

"She's a talentless chav so deserved to be attacked"
Classically trained pianist isnt she? Hardly talentless.

Rant over, i'm done for the evening with this bullsh@t.

FFS - some people really do have a sense of humor bypass dont they

The terms 'sarcasm' and 'having a laugh' obviously mean nothing to you.

saying something like "your posts seem to be written by an intelligent and educated person" is acceptable sarcasm, but telling people to sweep some poor guys remains off the road is not in the best taste if you ask me

I'm actually known in work as "the king of sarcasm", so yes I've heard of both, thankyou very much. However, while sarcastic in verbal communication is quite evident, its not so obvious in written form. Thats why smilies are good for indicating humour etc. Looking at your post count I see that you dont get out much, so can understand your confusion on this matter.

I reckon we should start by asking posters to type a little bit about their experience/s when commenting on subjects or indeed giving their opinions.

It'll probably result in an empty board though.

A great place to start hey Mr Simon Cowellbynet.

So her music is ****? So what? Does that make her a valid target for random, mindless thugs? Does it?

There's a difference between somebody not laughing at your comments because they have no sense of humour, and somebody not laughing at your comments because were just weren't funny.

IMHO, your comments fell into the second catagory.

You didn't use that as your arguement. You concentrated on the talentless part - i was clarifying why the majority of people would think that.

Arguments develop over time, that was just my opening remark.

Indeed. The word "arguments" seems to have developed into one with a superfluous "e".

Lack of knowledge and fact would be the clarifier as usual. Not liking her music is one thing, calling her talentless is another.

I said that and I stand by it. Why should thousands of motorists be inconvienienced and 100's of thousands of pounds be lost in business all because some bloke decides to jump off a bridge at 4am (and then gets hit by a lorry - surprise, surprise)? 9 hours the M1 was closed for. FFS all they have to do is take a few snaps for the coroner and pick up the pieces.

I did 12 years in the force and it would never have been closed for so long then.

There are some morons on SN and indeed some moronic statements, but I stand by everything I have ever posted.

iamevilhomer is DEFINITELY a moron. Not only did he inappropriately call you a "drama queen" for advocating a policy of making LESS fuss ( ), but he threatened to brake-fluid my car because I don't consider footy players to be particularly important human beings.

If you actually take the time to read the quote , the drama queen was actually part of Tony's 1st post. So read before you jump to your stupid conclusions

In regards to the brake fluid, did i actually threaten it. Absolutely not

But if you were to some day post that it has happened to your wheels i would not be surprised as if you take the same attitude to other people in the real world as you do here then i am sure you need eyes in the back off your head with the peeps you are bound to be upsetting all the time

Ok, I'm a semi-pro cellist, (i.e. it's a serious hobby with the odd paid gig thrown into the mix), my mum is a piano teacher and violinist, and my dad is a violin / viola teacher. A couple of my closest friends are music teachers in the oxfordshire music service, and I personally play in about a dozen different orchestras. Does that count as being able to have an opinion?

Just because she has been "clasically trained" doesn't mean she is any good. To be honest, I've listened to her work and my mum has 10 year old pupils which can play just as well, (if not better). It's more a case of having a pretty face and being in the right place at the right time. in other words, being marketable.

Doesn't excuse what happened to her though as that that sort of thing shouldn't happen to anyone, regardless of who they are...

Opinions are free Iain, whether or not they are creditable is up to the individual reading the opinion to judge. I'd sooner listen to what you have to say on this music topic, yes.

I would think it means she is good enough to be called talented, more so than the majority of 'experts' on here.
Of course marketable quality reigns but there *has* to be a talent. Not even Milli Vanilla could mime piano playing.
