This Blows The PSP Away!!
Santa rang me today and said that he had secured my Xmas present.
Joytech 8" LCD Screen to attach to the slimline PS2 to convert it into a Portable Playstation!!
Better than your PSP with its pathetic 5" screen ..... I get to play PS1 games, I get to play PS2 games, I get to play normal DVDs, I play MP3 discs with 220 songs on, it's got twin headphone sockets, a 12v car adaptor and spatial sound ......................
Forget your £34 inferior PSP games!!
Forget your £100 1Gb Memory Cards!!
Forget getting mugged!! (by SONY and Mike the Mugger!!)

The point is Pete, what you are assembling is a half-baked compromise to a portable games machine.
Most items that try to deliver more than one function are compromised in some way.
Presumably Sony devised the PSP to function firstly as a portable games machine that ran off batteries, and could fit in a jacket pocket. An 8" screen would negate this prime function.
Still, as I said, you seem happy enough with your compromised mess.

There's more to making something portable than sticking a battery pack on it... Standard PCs run off 12V plus lower voltages, but if you made a 12V battery pack it wouldn't be a useful laptop (even if you did rig up a screen for it).

I have Medal of Honour Frontline, have had it for 2 years now ......... JUST now got off the beaches ...... I spent months running around the beach with my gun pointing skywards! The controller cannot be set up logically for me
Now, Red Faction ............ I could control that!! Brilliant game!
Anyway - it's got its own case and everything - so, portable it is! Why suffer the poor games on the PSP when you can have the superior PS2 on your lap????
