Default receiving hotmail email on my d600 is it poss?

if so how the **** do i set it up?

if not what email accounts can i use?

got a few phonesi get 4 upgrades this time of year as have 4 contracts for missis work etc

if i recall when you conmnect to o world, and hit email, it lists the relevant provider, msn is on there,

they have improved somewhat, as at one time they would inly accept pop3 accounts, of which msn isnt one!!

assuming you have an orange contract

if not it should be under your own proveders internet access, although if they havent got non pop3 capability, your stuffed..

well found somin on the msn webpage registered etc but they charge me for every email i receive that they send me that means id get charged a couple quid a day pmsl

looks like to check my email i have to text to a number then it sends me emails

not exactly what i had in mind...... o well

Hotmail does not support POP 3, so it will not be possible to receive email from them to your phone. O2, AOL and NTL are a few examples of people that support pop 3.

gutted, just wanted to be able to read my emails when im on holiday (carribean cruise) as i belive the internet cafe onboard is expensive as ****

would take my ipaq and try hack there wireless if the have one but doubt that would be possible

should have bought a treo 600- 650, out of the box one touch connectivity..

you can always do the following,

set up an email addy with a pop3 provider, (normally one of the regular isp,s)

tiscali, aol, and then get your hotmail to foward any incomming emails to the new account you have created..


However... you wont be able to recieve emails on you phone via wap browsing , afaik the wap/ internet access is only uk based, it wont work abroad.

you need blackberry really to do that, or a dedicated phone, treo 600 etc
