Dropped my IPOD in water :(
Bugger,
Dropped my Ipod mini 6gb in the sh!tter today- it was messey. Its not working, any ideas?
Its in the airing cupboard now, hoping it will boot up later but doubt it. Its less then a year old, but was a present from America could I return to Apple stores or do they only have a 1 year warrenty for UK goods?
Upset, so very upset. The tube will be sooo boring now.

Get the battery out of it asap
it is probably too late now to be honest but you really need the battery out of anything that gets wet in double quick time if you are to stand a chance. With pure water (ish) you might save it once you dry it out. Sometimes I'd wash stuff out with tap water and then WD40 to stop rust and flush all the water out.

The gadget show on channel 5 recently submerged a camera, phone, and MP3 player in a paddling pool, then let off a depth charge with enough powerto create underwater pressure which should have killed the items.
Camera/MP3 player still worked straight after, and the phone worked about 15 mins later.
Just dry it out first and test it.
